AON Hewitt partners with Action Care to renovate classrooms

This August, Action Care teamed with AON Hewitt and McLagan Middle East to renovate classrooms at National Charity School (NCS) in Ajman. The dilapidated environment underwent a transformation as volunteers braved the heat to clean, sand, build and paint. Their efforts have created a better learning environment for 280 students who study in this wing of the school who will now start the new school year in renovated classrooms complete with new chairs, desks and classroom furnishings.

Overall, the day was a real success. Markus Wiesner, CEO Aon Hewitt MEA said, “It feels wonderful to be part of such a worthwhile cause. The team worked tirelessly to ensure the children were given a more engaging and inspirational environment and in doing so emphasized the outstanding results that can be achieved when working together. This is just the beginning and we will be back next year to continue the good work!”

Thanks to the partnership of corporations such as AON Hewitt, Action Care is able to continue its mission to support and build capacity in charitable educational institutions. “We’ve partnered closely with National Charity Schools for the past four years through ongoing educational training programs, and by connecting supply to specific needs in the school”, commented Action Care representative Christina Andreassen. “During this time, we’ve observed that the personal involvement of volunteers from the business community makes a special difference, both to the school and its students. The contribution of time and effort sets a positive example and encourages the students to take pride in their school and studies.”

National Charity Schools is a preferred partner of Action Care. Campuses located in Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman provide affordable or free education for children and youth from low-income families.
